or so I was told
Influenced from my experience at the World Summit of Evolution on the Galapagos Islands, 2005. Each illustration details a timeline of life on Earth, from microbes to man. Inspired by natural history illustrations and renaissance zoology. The aesthetic references Japanese scrolls from the EDO PERIOD, by using continuous illustration to map out multiple scenes in one schematic landscape. I use pen and ink washes on Washi.
