Versuvius Pub and Restaurant, Salt Spring Island, B.C

We pursued two design options for the site that had previously functioned as the Vesuvius pub. The first option developed looked at renovating the existing building and developing it in an Arts and Craft/ Art Nouveau style.
This renovation concept was abandoned an we developed a second design for a new location on the site in a more contemporary style.

The pub/restaurant was to be built into a steep slope with large windows taking advantage of water views. A large wrap around deck and rooftop patio allow for a significant amount of outdoor dining. Underground parking helped to enhance the owner’s concept of turning the overall site into a park.
