A Chick Like You
An Exhibition by Trevor Wright

This show, “a chick like you” is based on the urgency of our pre-millennial time and the resultant human condition. I have used the icon of “Special Agent Dana Scully”, the character made famous by Gillian Anderson on the TV show “The X’Files”, as a metaphor to describe our present state.
Beneath her sense of desperation and intelligent seriousness, I find more subversive themes which I have tried to accentuate. These are an apprehension to feel, a desire to hope, and frustration that there is no hope to be found.
